GONE BUT NOW HERE!

Well, I have done my DUI duties and paid the price!...Not just in money (being on a fixed income, it hurt!), but in time lost! All I have to do is sell this truck.  HATE to do it.  It's such a good vehicle.  Anyway, today is Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012.  If ALL goes well I will be on the road by Sunday, Monday afternoon!  Where to?  Several plans and contingencies.  Will update as things develop.

I'm in Lucerne, Ca.  Been here a little over a month.  I was on my way to Oregon and decided to stop here for a 'spell'.  May be more than a 'spell'.  When I pulled in I noticed radiator fluid leaking.  On my way here I did not notice overheating but I found it was difficult going up the hill on hwy 20!  I pulled over a couple of time to allow other vehicles to pass.  Anyway, this area is beautiful!  But oh soooo poor!

AM I GONE YET?

Well, after soooo long, I will be takaing this baby on the road.  Had a small 'spped bump' slow me down.  It may turn out for the best.  I know a lot more about the fridge, the airconditioner, the plumbing ( toilet, shower, sink, etc).  Also, I have better info on where to go first.  I will spend more time in State and Federal Parks thanx to the Annual Pass I WILL buy.  I just need to sell this truck.  I decided I will try to move around on a bike when I am camping or when in RV park.  I hope I dont feel too pressured to having a small car.

Well, I am now eligible for the 'WTF are you doing' Award! I am getting ANOTHER RV! Yes, I am buying a 1984 Itasca Sunflyer. Yes, I already have a travel trailer and a Dodge Jamboree RV ( which, by the way is currently parked at an RV park).

WHICH, incedentally, I have not spent ONE night in. I just paid my second MONTHS rent. TWO MONTHS..NOT ONE NIGHT THERE! Any other WTF contestants?..watch a PRO!

Oh, I forget to say I also have an F250 truck!POW!ZAP!BANG! Kiss THE Ring!

Details, you say? 1984 Itasca has 18 thousand ORIGINAL miles! Not a scratch anywhere in the upholtery or dash! (They usually crack overtime. NOT if someone covers it AND the seats wih year after year after year)! NO, I DON"T have tons of money. The truth is I have made mistake after mistake hoping that my next decision(mistake) would get me out of my previous mistake. Well, this is IT! I will sell the Jamboree (some lucky S.O.B. will get for nothing, ( I have a fellow in mind already. He deserves it!) I will then sell/TRADE F250...that will be painful...I LOVE my truck!) for a small, VERY small car, I will then haul in the back of the Sunflyer. Crazy??? HAH!

Finally! A FRIDGE!

Well, I bought a new Dometic fridge for my rig. It cost me $866.00! YES!! It's being delivered to the RV shop where my rig is now waiting. I hope the work is all done by end of next week. NEXT: Solar panels. I got a quote of $1253.00 (from Discount Solar in Quartzsite, AZ) for 2/ 95watt panels/tilt setting, controller, fuse, wiring, etc. I can swing the price but I am going to continue looking in case there is a better deal out there. Besides, I don't know what brand the panels are they are offering and I would prefer Kyoceras since I have read great reviews about their product.
